Since 1947, Clearwater, Florida, has been a second home to the Philadelphia Phillies, and theyve called BayCare Ballpark their Spring Training base since 2004.  For many Phillies fans, a visit to Clearwater is a must-do https://www.philliesplayerfanstore.com/jordan_romano_jersey-280.  A perfect day could include a morning walk along the beach, an afternoon Grapefruit League game, and then enjoying a grouper sandwich and a cold beer as the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico.

Clearwater holds a special place in the hearts of the Phillies, so it comes as no surprise that the team recently donated $1 million to AMPLIFY Clearwater to help the city recover from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

"It's been our second home for 78 years, and its deeply important to us," said Phillies managing partner John Middleton.  "It's not just about Spring Training for the team; it's about the community as a whole.  Businesses have an obligation to support the areas in which they operate.  Whether its our Major League team in Philadelphia or our affiliates in Reading, Lehigh Valley, and Lakewood, we believe in being part of the community.  You dont just set up shop, work, and leave.  People live, work, and raise families here, so its vital to form lasting relationships. "

The AMPLIFY Hope initiative was launched to support local businesses and residents whose homes and operations suffered significant damage from the storms.  Many of those affected are still working to rebuild, facing repairs and inventory losses.

Since its inception, AMPLIFY Clearwater has received over 50 applications from businesses and residents in need of assistance.  The Phillies $1 million donation has significantly amplified the impact, doubling previous contributions and providing much-needed relief to the community.

"We not only have a professional connection to Clearwater but a personal one as well.  Leigh and I have a home here, so this hits close to home," Middleton added.  "When we discussed this internally, it became clear that we wanted to make a meaningful contribution.  The question was not What can we do? but What is something truly significant we can do? Thats why we decided to match donations to AMPLIFY Clearwater up to $1 million Taijuan Walker Jersey. "
